Professional Development Committee

The purpose of the Region I Professional Development Committee is to enable, support and enhance the continued professional development activities of Region I members. The committee provides a forum to discuss the challenges of delivering relevant programs, identify the current and future professional development needs within the region, and seek new and exciting ways to help Region I members get better at what they do.

The goals of the Region I Professional Development Committee are to:
• Provide a forum to discuss, identify, develop and implement professional development programs for Region I members
• Heighten awareness and promote the importance of professional development within the Region and beyond
• Develop, implement and provide opportunities for Region I members to participate in professional development through job-embedded experiences. Continue to provide existing programs and establish new opportunities, such as the:
* Mentor Program
* Advisory Shadow Program
